Things I Like To Do: The Life I Love Living

There are so many things that I enjoy doing and am interested in that it would take too long listing them all. For the reason just stated this essay is going to be about the main thing I enjoy doing.  The main interest of my life is God.  I must be honest in the words I say or else I will be denying the very reason I live.  Each of my small goals are aimed to that one main goal which is to give glory to God Almighty.  I learn most of the things I know about Him and life itself from the Holy Bible.  Knowing the Lord has gotten me safely through many hard and challenging moments in the short time I have been on Earth.  Three major parts of my life are as follows- seeing my Answer, giving the Lord praise, and sharing His Good News.
"16 All Scripture is God-breathed (inspired by God) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."- 2 Timothy 3:16-17.  If you live according to the scriptures by looking at them as a whole, then not only will the wonderful things happen that are mentioned in these two verses come true for you, but also they will make your life much happier.  I know this is very true for me.  I have believed in God for as long as I can remember but that isn't all that He expects from us.  He expects more not only for His glory but also for our own well being.  "18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder."- James 2:18-19.  The main problem I had was that I believed that God was real but didn't have honest, true faith.  Real faith is manifested in good deeds or works.  James chapter 2 shows that faith in God and from God is fruitful, but faith in simply knowing God is real, yet apart from God is dead.  Even the demons believe that God is real but that doesn't make them righteous.  For a large part of my life I was depressed.  I believed that God was real and tried my best to do what I thought was right.  It took me about 5 years to realize that that was just my problem.  I tried my best to do what I thought was right.  Finally I saw that what men usually think is right, God sees otherwise.  I had to stop doing only what I thought seemed right according to what I heard and felt was right.  What seemed like forever finally ended.  I had heard before that God had called Himself "The Great I Am" or "I Am that which I Am" before but I didn't really understand it.  My life was in need of great help so I asked God for it and He said "I Am."  When I first head that it didn't really mean anything but then I saw it so plainly.  If I need guidance then God says "I Am Your Guidance."  He was the One that I had not been listening to.  I needed to study His word.  When I did that the depression within me left almost immediately.  That was in the begging of the year 1998.  I still had problems with stress and guilt but as I get deeper into the Bible many things became clear to me.  One day the guilt left as if it had been literally lifted up off of my shoulders.  As I felt that I had even more assurance of God's existence.  God is more real than the air we breath.  If you accept Him as your Lord then He will give abundant blessings as proof of Himself without you even asking.  He does it because He loves you.  Stress can still agitate me but I have learned to deal with it much better than before.  There is more peace in knowing that the Father of your spirit is in the highest place for all eternity than there is in anything else.  Just by having Him in my heart I have a peace in myself as a gift from Him to help get me through all situations.  " 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!"- Romans 8:38-39.
"But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you."- Psalms 5:11.  "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy."- Psalms 47:1.  Giving praise to God is one of the most joyful things a believer can do.  "3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD."- Psalms 150:3-6.  It feels so good just singing and dancing for the Father in Heaven.  Perfect praise comes from a pure heart.  We that love God are made pure of our sins by the blood of Jesus.  I have loved to sing for as long as I can remember.  Honestly I don't know if I have a good voice or not.  Singing in a group like church or school is very fun.  Many times when I am outside by myself I may get so happy that I start jumping and singing.  Usually these words just come to my mouth and I sing.  They sound very nice, but I don't ever remember them exactly.  I feel that music and dancing are wonderful things if used the correct manner.  We should give thanks to God all the time for what great things He has given to us and also of His own perfect life.
By one man did sin enter the human race and break the relationship between God and man.  Now here is the Good News.  "17..But how much greater is the result of what was done by the one man Jesus Christ!  All who receive God's abundant grace and are freely put right with him will rule in life through Christ18 So then, as the one sin condemned all mankind, in the same way the one righteous act sets all mankind free and gives them life."- Romans 5:17-18.  Jesus Christ did many righteous acts but the one spoken of here is Him dying for us the sinners.  The one righteous act that we do is to simply confess that we have sinned and to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. "18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, to the very end of the age."- Matthew 28:18-20.  There are many places in the word of God where we the Church are told to go out into the world and teach the people of the world the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Sometimes it is very hard to talk to people about God, but we must take every chance we can.  If we truly care for our friends and neighbors then we should want to help show them the Truth of the Word.  Many people have asked me, "What about the people that never get to hear about the Lord or the Bible?," For them I have a this:  "Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language, and people." - Revelation 14:6.  Another verse in the New Testament states that the Lord Jesus went to the depths of the earth so He preach to the captive spirits.  All people have a choice of good or evil.  If they refuse God after an entire lifetime, even if they appear to be good, it no ones fault but their own.  In a sense everything we do has aims to a main goal.  That is either good or bad.  Not every thing that appears to be good actually is.  If someone denies that God is real and Jesus Christ died for their sins then what good is any of their works?  Whenever I hear about someone that found Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as their Lord and Savior it makes me feel so good.  I'm sure it makes all those that have a relationship with God feel good.  Every time I hear something such as that it gives me more hope that there are people out there willing to accept the Truth and do what is right.  Hearing happy stories give me motivation to keep on going no matter what some people may think of me.  What harm can someone do to my spirit since it is in the hands of the God the Father?  There are many ways to help people.  One way I use to get the Good News out is through the internet. If your will is God's will then it shall be done.
I find several things enjoyable, as do most people, but the most enjoyable thing of all is knowing that the Almighty God of the Universe loves me so much that sinless He died to set sinful me free.  It feels so good to know with whom I am going to spend eternity and where.  Even though there are many things in the scripture that I don't fully understand, I know He will give anyone wisdom and understanding if they ask of it with an honest heart.  We must remember that He is not to early or to late.  God's time is
perfect time. God is perfect.  God is real.
